COLLECTIVE KITCHEN

At the heart of Kitchen Collective is our shared kitchen. The shared kitchen is organised as a collective and gives food entrepreneurs the opportunity to participate in a working community while having access to food-approved production facilities.

This ensures you as a food entrepreneur everyday life with colleagues and have the opportunity to share the kitchen's mandatory duties, such as cleaning, maintenance, rubbish disposal, etc., with others.

At the same time, Kitchen Collective also gives you access to a valuable address in Kødbyen, which only a select few food companies can access. That is precisely why we are a community that ensures that future food entrepreneurs can also benefit from this opportunity.

In addition to the shared kitchen, we also have a venue space where you can invite diners to pop-up restaurants, tastings, cooking classes or whatever else is important for the development of your business.

Kitchen Collective is a practical, culinary incubator for food entrepreneurs – we call them kitcheneurs.

In our shared kitchen, food ideas can be developed, produced and tested before being rolled out for the enjoyment and benefit of many.

At Kitchen Collective, we bring together curious and courageous people who are passionate about food, good ideas and creative solutions. Since 2015, our shared kitchens have provided the framework for over 400 start-ups. Together, we have helped to create creative and tasty solutions that contribute to a healthier and more sustainable food system.

If you are interested in joining the kitchen collective, you can read more about our various options below.

OPPORTUNITIES AND MEMBERSHIPS

HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER

Kitchen Collective is for you if you have reached the stage in your development where you need to test and scale your business model, and where you need a permanent address for your registration with the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration.

You are familiar with the possibilities offered by the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration's de minimis limit, which provides a good runway for development and testing before you need a permanent production kitchen – and we would like to see that you have already made use of this opportunity. It is not a requirement that you have had a turnover of DKK 50,000, but you must be engaged in sales in order to become a member.

There are fixed costs associated with being part of Kitchen Collective, so it is also necessary that you have a steady income when you move into the shared kitchen.

Kitchen Collective is a dynamic place where kitcheneurs grow and move on when their business is ready. Some are members for three months, others for three years – it all depends on where you are in your development.

In the collective, we work with new products, food concepts, catering, cultural kitchens, upcoming restaurants and food consulting.

We receive many enquiries at Kitchen Collective, and we offer membership to those who work ambitiously and professionally – and who want to be part of a working community.

There are always between 10 and 12 companies in the collective. To ensure space and good working conditions for everyone, we put together the community so that members have different and varied production needs.

If you are interested in becoming a member, we would like to get to know you and your project better. Therefore, please send us a description of your business. If we believe there is a good match, we will invite you to visit our kitchen.
